Washington State University’s Performing Arts program was founded to promote cultural and artistic presentations of arts, according to the organization’s website.

Cleo Parker Robinson has been one of the pioneers for artistic and cultural dance. The group serves as a cultural ambassador that infuses vitality, innovation and education into each community they perform in, according to the organization’s website. Robinson has had a prestigious career, earning the Dr. Martin King Jr. / William “Bill” Roberts Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009 and served on the National Council on the Arts from 1998 to 2005.
